Newcastle's First Signing a 27 Years Old French Striker
Newcastle has signed 27 years old Lyon and France striker Bafetimbi Gomis for £8.7 million. This is the first signing for The Magpies this summer under controversial director of football Joe Kinnear.
‘We agreed on Newcastle’s offer for an eight million euros transfer plus two million in bonuses. The club has come to accept the player’s salary claims,’ Aulas was quoted as saying.
Gomis has scored more than 50 goals for Lyon in 140 appearance. He has also scored 3 goals for his country in 10 appearance.
